A Note on Chauffeur Gratuities and Service Charges

Occasionally, questions arise regarding tipping our chauffeurs. It's important to note that our chauffeurs rely on gratuities from our clients for their earnings. These tips are essential in ensuring we maintain the happiest, friendliest, and most professional chauffeurs in the area!

Suggested Minimum Gratuities: We suggest a minimum gratuity on most trips for your convenience as our valued client. This practice simplifies expense reporting and ensures you are never caught without cash during your travels. The suggested amount may vary based on the trip's rate and your allotted gratuity. Please remember, gratuity is at your discretion, and the suggested minimum is optional and adjustable.

Additional Gratuities: If you feel our chauffeurs have gone above and beyond, you have several options:

  • You can adjust the gratuity percentage for individual trips or all your trips by contacting us.
  • You may add a specific dollar amount to a trip.
  • You can tip in cash at the point of service.

Service Charges: In certain cases, a service charge may be applied instead of gratuity, particularly on out-of-area or international trips. In such cases, Elite will cover the minimum suggested gratuity per our agreements with affiliate companies.

Please note that any undocumented payments or cash given directly to the chauffeur are considered gratuities and cannot be credited toward trip fare payments.
